Michael Kors staged his Spring/Summer 2023 runway show on Wednesday, September 14, with a slew of celebrities sitting front row. Vanessa Hudgens pulled out all the stops when it came to choosing her designer look in particular: a charcoal-grey cashmere catsuit styled under a wool coat with the brand’s signature Christie envelope bag and pointed-toe pumps, all from the Fall/Winter 2022 collection.
Hudgens’ halter design featured a plunging V neckline and open back, and her waist was cinched with a thick leather belt. Her jacket falls off her shoulders as she walks to put the detail on full display. She finished off with an array of earrings, including a spiky cross pendant and gold hoop, with her hair pulled back into a braid. The 33-year-old’s lightweight makeup included a smoky eye and peach-hued glow.
While Michael Kors always presents a sophisticated, well-tailored collection no matter the season, his latest offering is a nod to the 1970s, and Hudgens’ catsuit fits the bill nicely. Along with similar plunging necklines, the lineup boasts fringe skirts, cutout dresses and sequined evening wear.
Hudgens’ gray jumper is a far cry from her recent Nylon magazine cover shoot, for which she wore pink Miu Miu underwear and latex, leaning into the barbeque trend with retro undertones. While her catsuit is considered a trendy item, also loved by the likes of Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Megan Thee Stallion, Hudgens took a more luxurious approach, opting for a fall-appropriate iteration that reflected the upscale, monochromatic suit in a comfortable fabric.
Ahead, catch her outfit from every angle and see her pose in the front row with her co-stars Nina Dobrev, Keke Palmer and Alexandra Daddario.
