Miley Cyrus is currently making the case for Y2K Fashion. Her bleached shag with dark-brown undertone is straight out of the MySpace era, and she was spotted on the streets of New York last weekend in a leopard print and an underwear-inspired minidress. On May 16 in “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, he again paid homage to a vintage Alexander McQueen outfit made of 100 percent silk in the early 2000s.
The McQueen piece, which initially debuted on the runway in 2004, features a midi-length, bias-cut silhouette and a scalloped hem. It has decided not to include the flattened sleeve Cyrus like the cape in its original design. Instead, he wore spaghetti straps and a ruched cup detail pronounced by a bow in the middle of the bodice. A silk cowl is draped over the details of the fitted corset, which adds a decent touch to the modest outfit. With the help of her stylist Bradley Kenneth, she styled an ultra-classic vintage gown with a diamond tennis necklace and minimalist nude heels. Her look with her open arm tattoos and agy hair balances the feminine and rock ānā roll.
The trend aside, Cyrus seems to have come up with her own fashion style. From catsuits to shiny sets, she often blends rock ‘n’ roll outfits with a feminine sensibility, and her recent getup was no exception. The former “Plastic Hearts” artist was spotted in another stunning vintage look before her appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”: a black John Galliano minidress and fishnet tights after her “Saturday Night Live” appearance on May 14.
