Doubling down on her stylish return to New York City, Meghan Markle ended her first day with an equally fashionable night out with Prince Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were caught hand-in-hand as they left Locanda Verde in Tribeca on Monday, July 18. The couple stepped out of the Italian restaurant where they had dinner with friends, looking effortlessly chic and relaxed.
Markle, 40, wore a fitted, black strapless jumpsuit by Gabriela Hearst, accented with a white fold-over trim and a flared hem. At the back, the design boasts an interesting combination of black-and-white knot detailing and two subtle cutouts on the upper frame. With its classic sensibility and modern flair, it recalls the off-white Khaite bodysuit Markle styled for the Invictus Games in the Netherlands in April. Her accessories – a pair of black, strappy heels and a burgundy-red leather Bottega Veneta satchel – rounded out the sophistication, as did her sleek, low ponytail and soft makeup.
Next to her, Prince Harry, 37, kept it casual but elevated in a short-sleeved navy button-down shirt, dark-blue jeans and gray sneakers. The date night capped off a busy start to the week for the parents of two, who flew from California to New York for Nelson Mandela Day. They were spotted at UN headquarters that morning, dressed in matching dark outfits — Markle in a Givenchy crewneck knit top and pencil skirt and Harry in a navy suit and white button-down shirt. Prince Harry delivers a speech during the United Nations Nelson Mandela Award ceremony, honoring the trailblazing activist.
