This past Sunday, the fashion set climbed Wall Street for New York’s highly anticipated Balenciaga destination show. Megan Thi made an appearance at a perfect top with stallion leggings and Balenciaga shades. Netflix stars Kristin Quinn of “Selling Sunset” and Kristin Chew of “Bling Empire” and Jaime G pose in the street wearing full Balenciaga looks.
For its Resort 2023 collection, the French house has brought its signature oversized tailoring on the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, advanced tech on the atelier and ads. Stars such as Kanye West, Balenciaga Ambassador Alexa Demie, and the newlyweds Chloë Sevigny sat in the front row as models turned the NASDAQ into a runway, throwing black-carpeted trading floors to the tune of EDM House tracks.
The collection focuses on exploring the world of evening wear through a refined sporty lens, for which the famous Balenciaga creative director Demna Gavasalia. He also agreed on BDSM and club-kid culture. Through fetish latex bodysuits, the collection draws inspiration from performance artist and club-kid pioneer Leigh Bawari, with each model wearing one under their face.
