Megan Thee Stallion’s new music video for “Her,” released as part of her sophomore album “Tromazin,” abounds in head-turning outfits, thanks in no small part to her collaboration with Hollywood stylist Law Roach. The first scene opens strongly, with Megan rapping in a chair, wearing a sharp-shouldered maxi gown with built-in opera gloves. The silhouette recalls the Kim Kardashian-endorsed Balenciaga look, an aesthetic that appeared on the Couture 2022 catwalk. Accessorizing the floor-sweeping design with silver drop earrings, Megan’s sleek black hair cascaded down her back.
The video cuts to another scene, showing the rapper and a group of dancers in blonde wigs. Megan wears a long-sleeved halterneck catsuit printed with a snakeskin motif that melts into pantaboots. Keeping the focus on her striking outfit, her accessories are kept minimal with simple diamond studs. Meanwhile, her backup dancers looked equally dazzling in silver metallic bodysuits and black latex Jung-hye boots, styled with short bobs.
Catsuits are a central theme of the video as the self-proclaimed “hot girl coach” later switches to yet another iteration. Standing on a pedestal surrounded by the same group of dancers, the 27-year-old star rapped in a metallic one-piece with cutouts on the full bodice bottom. Her hair from the first scene has been finished with matching ankle booties, with straight back in black waves. Her dancers trade in their metallic costumes for white bodysuits, stockings and thigh-high boots.
Although the entire video is edited in black-and-white, the details of the clothing remain prominent throughout. Go ahead, take everyone in, then admire Jean Paul Gaultier’s set to promote his new album on August 14.
