Marsai Martin commemorated her 18th birthday milestone with a fabulous Shrek-themed party. On Sunday, August 14, the “Black-ish” actor, who is the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history, donned his most glamorous look for the momentous occasion. Suggesting she meet the modern-day Princess Fiona, she donned a dramatic emerald-green gown adorned with crystal embellishments, custom-made by Da Shoné by DaSh.
The show-stopping satin dress features a plunging deep-V neckline, a thigh-high slit and a built-in corset, in addition to ruffle detailing around the skirt. Martin worked with stylist Brian Javar to execute the fairy tale theme; The custom piece came with sheer opera gloves and a jeweled padded cape to match. With a new copper hair color, she completed the look with silver stilettos, intricate earrings and an assortment of rings on her gloves.
Martin was joined by a slew of fashionable guests at the “Far Far Away” party, including Kelly Rowland in a mustard-yellow Lia Stubla dress with a high slit and off-shoulder neckline, as well as Karrueche Tran in a black corset and sheer skirt by Vintage Marcela.
Establishing himself as a rising style icon, the “tiny” actor hasn’t been afraid to take fashion risks on and off the red carpet. At the BET Awards in June, she wowed in a glittering silver fringe dress, while more recently at the “Nope” premiere, she wore a sober, demure black minidress with an asymmetrical hemline.
