Laurie Harvey unveils this year’s Met Gala theme at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Harvey hit the red carpet at the Palace des Festival with a commanding strapless ballgown that revealed “gilded glamor.” The Look 40 ruffle gown from Alexander Vauthier’s Spring 2020 Couture Collection has a broken bodice wrapped around the level of a spiral ribbon and wrapped together by a shiny diamond brooch on the left buttocks. The giant skirt glistened at the level of Harvey’s waist-made battery-yellow raffle, down to an inch above the red carpet to give us a glimpse of her fine gold heels. She styled the look with a layered Messika Paris diamond necklace, earrings and ring.
In a sea of suits and exuberant maxi outfits, Harvey illuminated the red carpet with a focus on whimsical attire with its comparatively minimal accessories. The battery of the dress captured the glare of the sun beautifully, and her refined beauty look – a French manicure, a smooth bun, and a glossy two-tone lip – gave Harvey a perfect reunion. Sophisticated, smooth, and perfect for a day on the French Riviera.
Harvey’s original matte gala look was a flowing train in a crossover Michael Corsack black dress and a bold ab-bearing diamond cutout. “Thank you, কেলMichaelCors, for letting me be one of your musicians for the evening! What a moment! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to surpass this stunning outfit you made for me,” Harvey said on Instagram after the event.
