It’s one of the hottest dates on the Couture calendar, and the Balenciaga show didn’t disappoint. On July 6, the runway, located in the brand’s original 1937 Couture Atelier near the Champs-Elysées in Paris, was not only obsessed with the top models in the world, but a group of familiar faces were on the catwalk with them.
Rumors spread that Kim Kardashian would be involved in the show, as her love for the brand is no secret. She became the face of the label in February and wore designer outfits around Paris, so it was no big surprise that Kardashian took longtime friend Demner Catwalk on her second couture show as creative director.
Wearing a gloved black top, complete with a sweetheart neckline, black pantalleighings and a silk draped maxi skirt, the reality star spreads top-to-toe-toe-toe toe glamor. And some of his big fans were also in the front row. Mother Chris Jenner quickly pulled out her phone to take pictures when Kardashian’s 9-year-old daughter, North West, sat down to watch her emerge as a fashion star in her own right.
Dua Lipao was walking along the catwalk in a canary-yellow, ruffled asymmetrical minidress followed by a dramatic train. With sheer black tights, patent stilettos and opera gloves, Lipper’s hair was returned to a low ponytail to let the dress speak for itself.
Christine Quinn of “Selling Sunset” confirmed that she was attached to a train in a silver glitter minidress, while Nicole Kidman, wearing a silver one-shoulder gown, skillfully assembled the silhouette. Kidman’s train with opera gloves, tights and stilettos was attached to the waist. Seeing her husband Keith Urban from the front row, her red hair was wavy and wavy.
Bella Hadid wore a green strapless dress with a bow in front and a deceptive hemline that was long in the front and short in the back. And, later, fashion royalty Naomi Campbell gave a masterclass in Couture Modeling because she used a huge black gown with a huge structured collar with a door arch.
There was a strong focus on durability with more than a quarter collection made from upcycled items. Neoprene and Face Shield opened the show, which later paved the way for a showcase of highly technical crafts for coated fabrics and lax draping. The finale of the show came in the form of a wedding dress. The dramatic gown was made with 250 meters of tulle using 70,000 crystals, 80,000 silver leaves and 200,000 sequins.
Offset, Emily Ratajkowski and Tracy Ellis Ross were some of the other names in the star-studded front row. There’s no point in bagging Oscar-winning actors, international superstars and music moguls at the same time for fashion labels, reaffirming the brand’s ability to pave the way for groundbreaking fashion moments.
