She is a cover girl. New to New York Fashion Week, Julia Fox just dropped a new cover for ES Magazine channeling some serious Halloween vibes. The bold look, though perhaps a bit more gore-themed than her everyday ensembles, is particularly out of line with the revealing, asymmetrical, and sometimes even gravity-defying outfits she regularly wears.
The 32-year-old actress shared the cover on her Instagram, which was styled by Briana Andalo and photographed by Richie Shazam. In the photo, her long floor-grazing brunette hair is parted down the middle, peering into the camera through a hole in the chain link fence. Her dress is assembled from a mixture of materials, seemingly made of black tape and red lace, which is meant to resemble blood. Black patent elbow-length gloves completed the spooky outfit and multiple strands of red beads played up the gory visual theme.
The dress is a creation of LeMÁine, a UK fashion designer who creates both the dress and separates to look like blood. Indeed, on the designer’s website, the collections are described as “contemporary haute macabre”. The gloves are a design from XXXY Paris.
This week, Foxx was spotted at New York Fashion Week in a duct tape bra and two-in-one pants combo. That outfit followed similar head-turning style moments, like her latex cutout dress and a DIY denim look.
