Always one to go bold with her performance looks, Dua Lipa made an animal-print-inspired statement on stage at Seagate Festival in Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday evening. Taking a night off from her worldwide “Future Nostalgia” tour, the 26-year-old singer wore a black-and-white alligator-print bodysuit by Alaïa that featured a high neck, no sleeves and a Brazilian bottom silhouette. Underneath the form-fitting bodysuit, she wore a pair of black fishnet tights and satin heeled ankle boots for the finishing touch.
Lipa marked the occasion by sharing a series of videos on her Instagram, including a preshow ritual of her with her team. One of Lipper’s go-to styling tricks is wearing a bra as a top, often paired with low-slung pants. Alternatively, he is seen in a catsuit, which usually covers the entire body. However, it’s somewhat rare that she steps on stage wearing nothing but a cheeky bodysuit. With this performance look, she’s channeling the likes of fellow superstars Lady Gaga and Lizzo, who regularly sport bodysuits and leotards while on stage in front of thousands of fans.
What’s more, Leeper’s alligator-print bodysuit is a markedly muted departure from her well-documented penchant for barbicore both on and off stage. Some of her most memorable ‘fits’ of late include a matching nylon bralette and pale pink shorts, a hot-pink catsuit and matching opera-length gloves, and an all-over sequin ensemble consisting of a miniskirt, a bralette top, and gloves. .
