“Maid” actress Margaret Quali recently got engaged to record producer Jack Antonoff, confirming the news by sharing a gallery of Instagram selfies on May 31 that highlights her engagement ring. The piece of jewelry consists of a set of round-cut diamonds in a white-gold split-shank band, and there appear to be two small diamonds set where the band is split on each side, providing some extra brilliance. It has an ancient charm and a welcome departure from the more elaborate rings we’ve seen with other celebrities this year. Seeing vintage aesthetics as a big engagement-ring trend for 2022, it is clear that Antonoff did his research ahead of time.
Quali, who is also known for his role as Pussycat in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 “Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood”, soft-launched his new ring at the Cannes Film Festival last week, first wearing it with a black channel on May 25. Dress up for the premiere of “Stars at Noon”. The next day, she wore it again for a photo call with Coaster Joe Alvin and director Claire Dennis. Although he hid it mostly in the left pocket of his Chanel pants on the red carpet, he flashed it for the camera several times during a press conference, thus spreading rumors about a change in the status of his relationship.
Ahead, zoom in on all the photos of Qualley’s unique engagement ring that we’ve used so far, and keep seeing more as he continues his press round.
