Finally, Cardi B’s highly anticipated new music video for “Hot Show * T” has arrived. A few days after dropping her first single in 2022, which featured Kanye West and Lil Dark collaborators, the Grammy-winning artist released accompanying visuals on Tuesday, July 12th. The production features rappers in computer-generated scenes, beginning with Cardi B standing on top of a building in a sci-fi-like costume that could be part of a robot movie. The “up” artist is first seen in a black bodysuit, made with a sheer breast-bearing top and nipple paste. The futuristic design is enhanced with silver and black hardware that frames her chest, creating a high neckline and wrapping around her waist. Knee-high patent-leather lace-up boots and metallic knee breeches and leather opera gloves add more drama.
Directed by Lado Kwatania, the music video is an imaginative work of art, complementing the bold style moments with the cinematic landscape. In another scene, two robotic arms set the “Bodak Yellow” star on fire because she was wearing a form-fitting white maxi gown with a full revolving cutout. The floor-sweeping design still stands out against the white background, accessed by a pile of silver bracelets on each arm and Cardi B’s white-blonde hair. Later, the mother of two was given ice jewelry, which is actually a kind of Call of Duty necklace made specifically for the stars, according to a representative of Atlantic Records. Designed by Omar the Jeweler, the custom piece is a product of collaboration between rap icons and the popular video game franchise.
In the interacting scene, Cardi B is wearing a black bodysuit that covers every breast and a smooth leather coat. Lil Dark and Kanye West also show off their presence by wearing perfectly on-themed jackets, face shields and jeans. Ahead, watch the stunning visuals from Vogue Singapore’s latest video for the July 2022 cover star.
