Say hello to the Cardi B cover star. Styled by celebrity image architect Law Roach, the 29-year-old rapper and mother of two, Vogue has covered the “Ablaze” issue in Singapore, wearing a particularly comfortable Thom Brown look from a collection ready to wear since the fall of 2022. The intricate combination was created in a teddy-bear silhouette and involved a huge patchwork coat with a prominent, stiff-layered yarn loop thrown over a knee-length knit skirt. Her finishing accessories included a teddy-bear ear and a balaclava-style beanie with long, black and white lace-up platform boots, as well as a set of Clash de Cartier rings and bracelets.
Grammy-winning artist Vogue Singapore editor Amelia Chia opened up about her path to fame, touching on everything from her childhood to her upbringing in the Bronx that led her to emerge as a cultural icon. Cardi also discusses being a mother – including the challenges of raising her children, culture Kiari Cephas and Wave Set Cephas – and the values she wants to establish between them, especially the importance of hard work. “Even though my kids are well-off, I want to let them know that when you work for things and achieve it, it’s more honorable – especially when people see that you’re breaking your ass for it,” he told the magazine. The cover follows the release of his new single, “Hot Show *”, which features Kanye West and Lil Dark. She recently shared a teaser for the music video, where she can be seen wearing a custom crystal bathrobe. Cardi’s Enjoy Singapore Spread shows her an assortment of vibrant, bold clothing, including a blue feathered Tom Ford coat, a poster girl cutout catsuit and an attractive Richard Quinn catsuit and hat.
