After a two-year hiatus, the Time 100 Gala returns to the New York City Jazz on Wednesday, June 8, at the Lincoln Center. Change-makers and celebrities alike kicked off the red carpet in the evening, showing off their luxurious looks for the occasion.
Zendaya has created a fashionable look in a vintage, triangular-cut bob mackie gown. Her longtime image architect Law Roach decorated the elegant archival moment. Also present was Oscar winner Ariana Debos, styled by Jadrian Smith and Sarah Edmiston. For her stage toast to the LGBTQIA + community, Debos wore a sheer Oscar de la Renta costume with ornate beadwork and floral appliqus. Meanwhile, Mary J. Blizzard, who performed at the gala, came wearing an architectural gown by Gaurab Gupta. The striking design was completed with cutouts that shaped the sea-green element into a heart-shaped body, with a dramatic, spiral ruffle train.
Marvel actor Simu Liu played the host role for the evening after an electric blue versus pantsuit from the 2022 pre-fall collection. Also in front of the men’s outfit, former NBA player Dwayne Wade chose a heather-gray suit by Fear of God, styled by Jason Bolden. Other Time 100 red carpet standouts include Aurora James, a designer from Brother Wallis, who also donated an Oscar de la Rentao with a black tie version of her popular Globe Sandals. Amanda Sephrid of “The Dropout” wore a similar dramatic high-low design that included a Carolina Herrera ensemble, paired with a custom choker necklace covered in de Beers diamonds.
