Bella Hadid is playing tricks in our eyes with her latest streetwear look. On Monday, supermodel Marc Jacobs stepped out of a fashion show on the streets of New York City in a pair of graphic jeans that created the illusion of a piece of denim. The “ripped” jeans were screen-printed with a singing pattern that showed the front of both legs carefully ripped and torn up to the loafers of Hadid’s bright white platform. She styled jeans with a black varsity jacket layered over a lettuce-trim crop top, as well as a button-up shirt, which she wrapped around her head like a scarf to cover her blunt micro bangs.
Cooling effortlessly, Hadid paired it with low-rise jeans with a slim belt, black sunglasses, a mini public sports backpack, and a pair of white headphones that looked midriff-bearing like in 2004. The jeans were two -Tonned, one foot in a medium wash and the other in a slightly lighter shade. In some places, the denim appeared to be bleached or torn, while other bits of fabric looked as if they had just been rescued from the bedroom of Olivia Rodrigo’s ex-boyfriend in the “Good 4 You” music video.
Hadid wore the look the day he saw a rocking matching bowl-cut mullet and bleached eyebrows with his sister Gigi Hadid on the Marc Jacobs show. On the runway, Bella wore a giant black-and-white sleeveless ball gown made of matrix-esque vinyl, while Gigi wore a dramatically oversized, rib-knit sweater in watermelon pink.
