At the Starrett-Leahy Building in New York City where Altuzarra’s spring 2023 runway show was held, Dove Cameron looked all cool. The singer wore a plunging white ankle-length dress embellished with black shell motifs all over the body. Her sleeveless design exuded sporty elegance, but a knee-high slit on the left side and a half-open back added a seductive element. The 26-year-old star styled the formfitting dress with patent leather platform sandals in black, and it wouldn’t be a Dove Cameron outfit without at least one edgy element, so she opted for sharp cat-eye sunglasses. But his stuff didn’t stop there. Before entering the building, Cameron was photographed carrying a Paco Rabanne 1969 Chainmail Sphere Shoulder Bag ($1,170) and a fuzzy black coat slung over her shoulders.
“@josephaltuzarra ❤️ @altuzarra thank you for a beautiful morning,” she wrote under an Instagram carousel post, which shared a preview of the collection as well as photos of her sitting front row and posing at the venue. Meanwhile, the catwalk opened on a series of sportswear staples — from menswear-inspired suiting to classic button-down shirts (worn under preppy cable-knit sweaters and parkas) — before giving way to highlights. Models parade hand-painted psychedelic shibori pieces in Japan, expressing themes of nature and exploration. As the brand explained on Instagram, “The collection explores the allure of the desert. Inspired by the teachings of Don Juan and Desert Solitaire, published in 1968, and the adventurous spirit of the traveler, this season charts the path of mysticism, blurring the lines between man and nature, physical and spiritual.” ” The fashion designer also experimented with denim for the first time, presenting a pair of jeans, a maxi skirt, jacket and a two-piece set.
