Prom Paraphernalia: What to Watch for

Go to a shopping mall and you will be astonished at the hordes of stores selling clothing and accessories that not only promote prom, but also encourage teenagers to develop male-female relations.

Ornate dresses, tuxedos, flowers, and make-up

are a few of the varied objects that are used in preparing for prom. Some paraphernalia are so commonplace that they can easily be overlooked.

According to the Partnership for a Prom-Free America, prom paraphernalia is specifically marked to high school youth. Colorful dresses, shining limos, and glistening roses are all designed to attract attention and encourage purchases. Know what to look for - keep an eye open for items that may be used at social functions and keep your kids safe.
