Life. The Anti-Prom.
Prom InformationIs Your Teen Going to Prom?

AN OPEN LETTER TO PARENTS

Children grow up so fast these days - one day he's a toddler, the next minute your teenager is begging for the car keys. It's only natural for a parent to feel overwhelmed at times, especially when broaching a sensitive issue like prom. But, every second counts. Your teen's entire life is at stake. Teens who attend prom risk irreversibly damaging their minds and bodies for life. Your actions now will determine your teenager's future.

When should you take action?
Preventive maintenance is the best philosophy; after all, that's why we wear seat belts and go to the dentist for check-ups. So why wouldn't you do the same for your teenager? Research proves that each additional prom experience further diminishes the potential of a youth to develop normal and healthy self-awareness and solitude.

One time may not seem like such a big deal, but the choice to attend is the first step towards the path of self-destruction. Your child is vulnerable and confused about his or her natural role in the world. While you may have tried prom in high school, it's a more dangerous social game now. Don't let your child lose.

It's not easy to confront your child, but it is the single most critical conversation that you will have together. Face the issue and be strong. Your teenager will thank you later.
